(1) There is a 1 in the thousands place.
(2) The digit in the tens place is 9 times the digit in the thousands place.
(3) Multiply the digit in the thousands place by 2.

  1. The answer is 2794. First you put a one in the thousands place. Then you put a 9 in the tens place because 1 * 9 =9. The you change the one in the thousands place to a two. For clue 4) a hand has four fingers without a thumb so four. The tens digit is a 9 so two less than that is a 7. You put that together and get 2794

  2. The number the riddler left was 2794. YOu take the first number from the first clue and lace it in the thousnads place. So now you have 2_ _ _ . Then, you multiply 1x9 to find the number in the tens place. It is 9. Now you have 2_9_. Clues 3 and 4 mean the same thing exept clue four tells you where the number goes. You now have: 2_94. Using your final clue you deduce that the number in the hindreds place is 7. So you know that the number is 2794.

  3. The answer is 2794. I got this number by:
The number in the thousands place is 1. So far we have 1_ _ _. Then in the tens place you would have 9, because 9 times 1 equals 9. That is 1_9_.
The next clue is to multiply the # in the thousands place by 2. That gives you 2_9_. Then, the ones digit is a hand without a thumb. You have four fingers without your thumb, so the # becomes 2_94. The hundreds place is 9-2 (tens place -2.) So the # is 2794.

  4. I think the answer is 2794. Like everyone else i slowly filled in the blanks and followed the clues. first i got 1--- then 1-9-. then i multiplied the thousands place: 2-9- . There are five fingers on a hand, thus 5-1=4 so a four goes in the ones place: 2-94. And of course 9-2 = 7, so the final answer is 2794!

  5. I think the number is 2,794. I got it by doing a number of simple steps. First off, I made spaces to fill in the digits and went from there. Like so _ _ _ , _ _ _. Then I filled the numbers in according to the clues: _ _ 1, _ _ _. Step after step. _ _ 1, _ 9_. _ _ 2, _ 9 _. _ _ 2, _ 9 4. _ _ 2, 7 9 4 also know as 2,974.

  6. the full number is 2,794. the first thing i did was i put 8 dashes, to represent each space(ones, tens, hundreds, etc.)_ _ ,_ _ _ ,_ _ _. so the i followed the clues, one by one, and got 2,794.There is a 1 in the thousands place, so i put in ones place. The digit in the tens place is 9 times the digit in the thousands place=9x1=9, so 9 goes into the thousand place.
Multiply the digit in the thousands place by 2 = 1x2=2, so the thousand is actually 2. The digit in the ones place is a hand without a thumb, a hand is 5 fingers-1 because one thumb= 4, so 4 is the last digit. The digit in the hundreds is 2 less than the number in the tens= 9-2=7, so 7 goes into the hundreds place.

  7. Simple enough,

1,000 (There is a 1 in the thousands place.)
1,090 (The digit in the tens place is 9 times the digit in the thousands place.) 9X1=9
2,090 (Multiply the digit in the thousands place by 2.) 1X2=2
2,094 (The digit in the ones place is a hand without a thumb.) 5-1=4
2,794 (The digit in the hundreds is 2 less than the number in the tens.) 9-2=7
So the final answer is 2,794

  8. The answer is 2794. Your first clue tells you that the number one is in the thousands spot. So you have 1_ _ _. The next clue is to times the # in the thousands place by 9 and put it in the tens place so now you have 1_ 9_. The next clue says to multiply the # in the thousands place (1) by 2, to get 2_ 9 _. The next clue tells you that the # in the ones place in a hand without a thumb. There are 5 fingers (including the thumb) so 5-1=4. Now you have 2_94. Finally it tells you to subtract 2 from the # in the tens place(9)and place it in the hundredths place. 9-2=7, therefore the answer is 2794.

  9. Hello. This is a post whih was underdeveloped and was needed to be reconfirmed by the user.

    "1 in the tousands place = 1_ _ _"

"The digit in the tens column is 9 times the amount in the thousands = 1_9_"

"Multiply he number in th thousands place by 2 = 2_9_"

    "A hand without a thumb = 5 = hand, thumb = 1 finger, 5 fingers - 1 thumb, 4 fingers altogether. = 2_94"

"2 less than the tens place = 9 - 2 = 7, so th final result of the equation is 2794."

  14. The answer is 2794. I know this because step 1 says that a 1 is in the thousands place. The 2nd step then tells that the tens place is 9 times the thousands place so 1x9=9, the tens place is 9. The 3rd step then tells you to multiply the the thousands place by 2 so 1x2=2. The 4 th step says that the ones digit is a hand without a thumb so a hand has 5 fingers and a thumb is 1 finger so 5-1=4, the ones digit is a 4. The 5th clue is The digit in the hundreds is 2 less than the number in the tens so 9-2=7, a 7 is in the hundreds place. So those are the steps

  15. we start with 1000 then 9x1=9 soit is now 1090 then 2x1=2 so 2090 then a hand without a thumb is 4 so 2094 then 2 less than 9 is 7 so 2794. Em$$$$

  16. well here's how it looks to me so you get
    1_ _ _
then you add the 9 to the tens place so you get
    1_9_
then you do 1x2 so you get
    2_9_
then the digit in the ones place is 4 so you get
    2_94
then the digit in the hundreds place is 7 so you get
    2794
